Struttura super economica non lontanissimo da Nauplia. La struttura esteriormente si presenta meglio che internamente, dove avrebbe bisogno di una modernizzazione impellente. Ma per il prezzo e la dolcezza della proprietaria ne vale la pena

Although the building was quite dated, I really like the "rustic" feel like I am visiting a relative's old house as I wandered the grounds and neighborhood. Mostly because the owner was very personable and treated you like she was your aunt. If you are a family oriented individual then you will appreciate her personality. I paid LESS than €50 euros per night, so I was only expecting to have a safe, clean, and private room, not a 3 star service facility, but it checked off all the boxes. There is plentiful free parking just 300 meters up the hill, basic kitchen amenities in my room, with a private bathroom for my own use. The bed was not comfortable, but then again, I fully anticipate not having a high end bed with low budget lodgings. But Maria was very accommodating with my requests for extra pillows under my back, which allowed me to have two great nights of sleep. My goals were to have a full day relaxing at the beach, and then enjoy a bit of night life and maybe do some shopping, and be close to some historic sight seeing opportunities, this location was PERFECT for all three objectives. I walked 2 minutes behind the apartment and there was a pristine pebble beach to swim and catch some sunshine with a good stroll along the shoreline. It felt secluded, like a private cove for a cool dip. It is a 25 minute drive to Nafplio, where it seems like an eternal springtime environment because of the captivating showers of the bougainvillea flower petals floating among the sea breeze. I enjoyed a couple of nice meals, with great tasting gyro wrap, or Souvlaki dinner as I people watched, and listened to vibrant music among the mix of locals and tourists. I got what I paid for and I would come back with my family and/or friends to stay there again just to keep in touch with Maria.

I could be very picky and list a number of things that I don't like. But I need to put things into perspective when I am traveling. Because budget is a priority, I use ear plugs and an eye mask to create my own tranquil environment. I bring my own neck pillow and ask for extra pillows or towels that I can adjust for the hardness or softness of the bed. I keep an open mind and adapt to the people and environment with a sense of adventure and gratitude. With a bit of preparedness, and communicate my needs in advance, I don't often have unrealistic expectations.
