"Beautifully clean and welcoming hotel in Vallauris"

8.0

I was so pleased with this little hotel sat over the top of a traditional cafe bar. It was so clean and comfortable- the air con was a welcome relief ! The beds clean and comfortable in a compact and simple room- just perfect for our 3 night stay. I will return again - excellent value. Monsieur and Beatrice very welcoming and helpful, the Housekeeper was very attentive and cleaned and tidied daily- book this little spot, you won’t be dissapointed.

"In a great position"

6.0

We liked this hotel even though the room was small and the bathroom even smaller, not sure how I got into the shower. Our room was on the third floor so had to carry the suitcases up the stairs. Nice French in the morning in the lovely little café. We stayed on in Golfe Juan for 8 days and went to the café each morning for a coffee.

"Genuine and friendly"

10.0

I just loved to stay at Le Provence in Golfe Juan on my last dive trip to Diamond Diving. The owners are the most lovely people and Jean speaks fluidly english which is helpful for travelers not that in to French language. The rooms are small but clean, bathroom newly renovated and nice. Mini fridge, safety box and excellent AC. Yes, this is a small family hotel and it doesn't have all those facilities you can find in a bigger place. But it fulfilled all my expectations and I will stay there again soon on my next dive trip! For sure!! Also good wifi included - could even stream Netflix!! :)

"Small, unassuming but comfortable and welcoming"

10.0

I stayed at Le Provence for 2 nights whilst on business at the nearby port, less than a 5-minute walk away. The owner, an English lady, was extremely friendly and helpful. No fuss or complicated rules, just a simple no-frills approach. My air conditioned room was on the first floor - not the biggest or most modern decor, but spotlessly clean and comfortable with a nice hot shower and good wifi. This is the only hotel in the centre of Golfe-Juan village, so an ideal location. There was unavoidably some traffic noise early in the morning, but l not a huge issue. Just an incentive to get up for the scrummy breakfast - croissant and home made marmalade! Overall excellent value, definitely recommended and I'd be very happy to stay here anytime.

"Sorry to leave"

10.0

Always stay at this lovely welcoming little hotel. Just a stones throw away from everything. This time we were restricted due to illness but jean, the hotel owner, sorted him out via doctors and hospital visits, but that didn't stop all of us!! After we were feed with our yummy breakfast of coffee orange juice fresh croissant and bread with jams and homemade marmalade (for just €6) we treated ourselves to a sunbed on one of the very close private beaches. This one serves excellent lunches and the staff are always welcoming. Found a great diving company who offers taster days. Also scuba diving. Both at fantastic prices. The boys loved it. Will certainly go again. All along the port are great restaurants and don't forget to visit the churros couple who have a lovely mobile at the end of the port in the afternoons. As the train station is just two mins away its easy to travel all along the coast. The views are amazing. The boys even went to watch the local footie nice -v- monoco. Can't wait for next time xxx

"Very well priced hotel that ticks almost all the boxes"

8.0

The entrance of Le Provence greets you with a small, pleasant bar/cafe with street-side tables. I was greeted by an English woman, who gave me my key and explained how to get access outside of cafe hours, which they close fairly early in the evening. The narrow hallways and general decoration is very much in tune with 70's version of French hotel, a motif a substantial number of hotels still follow on the Cote D'Azur. The room is a decent size, with airconditioning, chair, writing table, a double bed, a slightly-larger-than-usual LCD TV with access to French freeview, a safe, a fridge and tea & coffee making facilities - which is rare facility for a southern French hotel. The room decor is nothing to shout about, with bare tile floors, a soloitary picture on a wall, and functional yet dated light fittings. The asutereness of the decoration does mean the room will likely be cooler on very hot summer days. The bathroom is quite small and for some it might be too small, but I remind any reader that their room rates are incredibly reasonable (the bathroom was similar in size to a different hotel I stayed in close by, that charged €30 more a night o.p.), and so this, I guess, is where you compromise a little. The shower cubicle requires two small doors to be opened which opens the exposed corner of the shower cubicle. Using it did make me feel a tad claustrophic, especially when I dropped my soap and had to stoop down to retrieve it. The water pressure however is good and the water was always very hot when I took a shower. The breakfast is a reasonable €6, where you get a glass of orange juice, a freshly baked croissant and chunk of baguette with butter, honey, jams and marmalade. They also serve coffee and tea, I had their cafe au lait (coffee and milk) which is a decent and staunch brew and a great kick start to the day. I think Le Provence is good value for money and a decent place to stay. Golfe Juan is a nice area if you want to be a little off the beaten track away from the hub-bub of Cannes, Nice and Juan Les Pins

"A gem of a small hotel"

10.0

The hotel is very welcoming with its bright tables and fresh flowers. The rooms are clean and fresh as is the small, but adequate, en-suite. Breakfast was lovely, fresh bread, good coffee, croissants and jam. The stairs to the rooms are wide and evenly spaced which is a real asset when climbing stairs is not that easy. Altogether a little gem of a hotel near to bars and restaurants and the all important beach. Easy to access other parts of the coast by train making a car redundant. Lovely owner too!
