Im Tanzanian, honestly was so disappointed of been charged taxes twice on the same service i have acquired and no any assist from the staff especially your Kenyan Manager, also i have charged interms of USD for me its very okay but, why quoting KCB rate #2550 and not the BOT rate which was #2520 and that is recommended for any transaction between local and foreign currency as well why? Should i pay Bed night levy as a Tanzanian, the law stipulate it clear BNL should be collected from all foreigners once the stay in the hotel, Kindly work on these issues you discourage Tanzanian who are willing to visit Zanzibar

The friendliness of all staff was extraordinary. Robert's restaurant crew was fantastic. We have been served breakfast and dinner (half board is mandatory) and there was always enough food and a variety of drinks, as well for optional lunch at the beach or pool. The food was excellent. Our room was spacious and very cosy. Avoid the rooms in the ground floors. There were always enough sunbeds and sunshade. We enjoyed as well the spa treatments. The mood was absolutely relaxing in this hotel. Quiet and peaceful, day by day. It was on e of the best holiday hotel we have ever been.

The light in the bathroom is not sufficient and the toilet is not separate in the bathroom. Although delicious, sometimes part of the menue food was the same as a few days before. There are really no restaurants nor shops in walking distance, to Paje you must take a taxi. (Or walk at the beach). So if you aim for activity or shopping, this is not the hotel for you.

The hotel was remarkably beautiful. Simplicity at its finest. Well secured and a prime beachfront hotel. We had the sea view room and the view was spectacular- both at night and in the daytime. We spent our last two days in the hotel as we wanted to appreciate it for its entirety. The staff at Amani were phenomenal. Lucas at the front of house was incredibly accommodating upon our arrival and made sure to go through every intricate detail with us and ensure we had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Robert at the restaurant made sure we were well informed on the menu each evening and at breakfast (and well complimented!). Chef David ensured we were more than happy with our meals each evening and took time out to ensure we were satisfied. All in all the staff at Amani boutique hotel deserve all the accolades. Their kindness made our stay one to remember. Thank you!

The food and drink were exceptional - plenty of choice and plenty of it! Every night was different, mostly served a la carte with the occasional well stocked buffet. We also enjoyed the wine selection. You can tell that the owners are Italian! The decor and ambience of the entire hotel was fab - modern and minimal with touches of African influence. The hotel was so peaceful and our sleep was always undisturbed even though our balcony faced out to the pool area and restaurant. Great private beach with service to your sun loungers :-) Amazing staff, faultless in their service. Kind, considerate, just the right level of contact. Special note to Robert, Alfred and Lucas who all made our stay such a pleasure. Thank you!! :-) Received special treatment on my birthday inc decoration on our bed, birthday cake and a little sing song from the staff. My partner also appreciated the opportunity to pay for a private dinner and to be able to upgrade our meal that evening to a very lovely seafood special inc lobster. A proper treat!!

The room had an incredible view down to the beach/sea but wasn't as luxurious as some places we stayed on the mainland. The sun loungers on the private beach were not adjustable and were imo set at an uncomfortable angle. There was no flexibility to switch out an evening meal with lunch in order to allow us the chance to try food outside of the hotel some evenings. There were no irons/boards provided in the room meaning we had to pay for the facility if we wanted it The beach and sea were not as clean/clear as we had hoped. Whilst the hotel staff went to great lengths to clear any plastic each morning, we were surprised at how much seaweed was on the sand and in the sea. You needed to wear sea shoes to protect your feet if you went into the sea due to urchins. We personally chose not to swim in the water or spend time on the main beach due to a steady stream of sellers. But this wasn't a huge issue given the hotel benefited from a lovely private beach.
