Herriot's in Hawes

Homemade preserves and shortbread- lovely. Delivery of fresh milk to room for early morning coffee- lovely idea. Great location and great place to stay

Having told the owner we had driven for 6 hours and had to drive 7 the next day to attend a (late finishing) wedding nearby requested a slightly later breakfast outside the 45 minute window that ended at 9. However we called at 9.10 to see if we could still get breakfast and were answered with a flat no, even though no one else was in the B&B and those that had been had had their breakfast. Thought a bit of flexibility would have worked, having paid for breakfast. Left to drive home to Brighton having not eaten with all local places not serving food until midday.

Perfect location if you hiking the Pennine Way. Perfect location if you’re just spending the day in Hawes. Wonderful host!! Tasty / filling breakfast.

Beds were a tad small

Good location, excellent attention, comfortable room

Initial impression of the outside entrance was misleading - signs saying cafe, art shop closed and looked a little run down; but once inside it was v good.

Great loocation, clean and comfortable and great value for money ..hosts were welcoming and friendly , best breakfast we have had in a long time and great to know the ingredients were locally sourced
