Le Grand Hôtel

The building is nice and well-situated (especially for the price) but the real benefit is the staff, who were very friendly and helpful to Brit with very little French available to him!

J' adore le Grand Hôtel de Souillac. C'est un endroit exceptionnel. L'équipe y est des plus agréable. La restauration est délicieuse, le service parfait. Merci à toute l' équipe. À bientôt. G Mathilde Donnet.

Bon séjour dans cet hôtel placé en centre ville et confortable

Il ne mérite pas une appellation d'hôtel 3 étoiles. Il n'y a pas de climatisation, le lit fait un peu de bruit, la télécommande de la télévision ne marche pas et il n'y a que les chaînes de la TNT. Il est très bien situé dans la ville et on se gare facilement.

De ontvangst was door drukte wat minder, maar dat kan. Er bleek een dweilband-wedstrijd te zijn, waar wij niet over ingelicht werden. Tot 2:00 ‘s nachts werd er gespeeld. Voor het ontbijt waren geen glutenvrije mogelijkheden en op het moment dat we ‘s avonds op het terras een ijsje en wat cocktails wilden gebruiken, bleek dat we alleen maar een compleet diner mochten nuttigen. Het voelde allemaal niet gastvrij. In de kamer waren veel spinnenwebben, de wcpot zat los, de douche was niet schoon en de douchekop kon niet vast. Er was een lift naar boven, maar er moest nog een trap worden genomen naar de kamer. Overigens wel leuk dat een hagedisje haar nest heeft op deze trap :) ‘s Morgens was het echter een compleet ander verhaal: ondanks het niet hebben geboekt van een ontbijt, mocht zoonlief iets lekkers uitzoeken en de persoon achter de receptie was wel supergastvrij en vriendelijk.

Very friendly staff.. great location but no direct parking but close near by. room slightly dated but bright and comfortable. Really good evening restraurant food great. roof top terrace not open..

We arrived to find the door locked and no one on duty. And an announcement that the hotel was closed. Adjacent hotel (the Patio) telephoned the person on duty. He fetched his boss who told us the hotel was open but the kitchen closed but he would arrange breakfast. After one night with no hot water we were ready to leave but we’re told we should run the tap. After 8 minutes it did indeed get hot. The place was like a morgue- no one else staying and we crept in and out of darkened bar and salon. The website is down . Are they in fact trading?

Le Grand Hôtel acceptant les chiens, nous avons eu la facilité de pouvoir voyager avec notre compagnon à 4 pattes sans problème. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Bar et restaurant disponibles au sein du même établissement.
