Tranquility in Klein Karoo

Super comfortable and peaceful! Neat and clean, and super safe We enjoyed our stay, our host was very friendly and went the extra mile for us. We were booked in for one night, but our host offered to leave our luggage, and we went back to refresh ourselves and stayed on for a few hours without any additional charges. Highly recommended! Peace of heaven. I immensely enjoyed the peaceful experience.

The bedroom smelt of tobacco but this is not the hosts fault

After a lovely stay here in 2022, we had no hesitation in booking again for a family stay in 2023. And everything was just as fantastic as last time. Gertruida is an amazing host - she has provided comfortable, homely and individual rooms which we loved. Typical of the hot Karoo, ceilings are high and windows darkened to keep things cool. The bathrooms were spotless and nice to use, and the kitchen and cooking facilities were first class - we had everything we needed. We used the braai outside in the lovely shade of the garden. Each room has private outdoor sitting area screened off. The succulent garden is a joy to see and enjoy. So much work has gone into making this a brilliant place to stay. Oudtshoorn will always be on our itinerary whenever we visit South Africa again!

Only the fact that we had to leave on the morning!

Lovely central to town, only 950m +- from the central town shopping Centre with all the take-aways and shops. Lovely old-world charm in the flat with some very homey touches. The hostess is superb, and made us feel very welcome. I enjoyed the plant collection in the garden in front of our little flat.

Nothing.

Warm, comfortable, quiet and secure apartment. It was just perfect for us, and had a very comfortable bed, excellent shower, great kitchen, dining table and cosy sitting area. Patio area was covered, with table and chairs, lots of green foliage and birds singing. Away from main roads it was very quiet and tranquil. And our host was such a happy, friendly and welcoming lady. Wifi very fast which has not always been the case in South Africa. So glad we found this place and will stay again.

No breakfast was included in the deal. Place was conveniently situated and peaceful. No real disturbance.

The loo seat would fall down - very awkward for a man doing a no. 1! I forgot to mention this when I was departing.
