The Lodge At Meyrick Park

The Lodge is part of a leisure club, and we were able to use all the facilities throughout the days we were there - even after check-out. That included pool, spa, excellent gym, classes, and golf. All this is just a few minutes walk from Bournemouth town centre. Staff were very welcoming, and breakfast was good.

Our upper floor room was in the eaves, which meant there was no space for a walk-in shower. That's the only reason to mark down our stay. We'll definitely stay again but I'd enquire about getting a downstairs room with shower.

Location was excellent, breakfast as good as any

We arrived late due to the Poole ferry and was greeted with locked doors and a very dark driveway up to the lodge. The night porter did his best though.

We booked this mainly as we were looking for free parking and a gym. The gym exceeded all expectations, being part of the Meyrick Park Golf Club. Good breakfast with choice of cooked meal plus buffet of fruit, cereals, yogurt etc.

The room was a bit small and we requested a change of room as, while it felt like we were in the middle of the countryside, there was quite a bit of traffic noise from our original room.

The beds were very comfortable and the room was nice. Staff were so helpful and lovely. Lovely pool.

Biggest disappointment was the breakfast - the smoked salmon was about one dessertspoon of trimmings on a piece of toast! The pool was lovely but it would have been useful to have a member of staff on duty to stop a very amorous couple in the hot tub!

Everything was wonderful

The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms were clean and well-stocked with tea, coffee etc. The bathroom was very clean and felt newly renovated. It was good value.

The exteriors of of the Lodge are quite drab, worn and unappealing. I think they are in need of refurbishment to feel more modern or at least less old fashioned and neglected.

Fantastic stay. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Food was amazing, great chefs. Lovely clean room, and decorated nicely.
