A Better Place by Lisbon II

Very simple but clean and all I needed for travelling solo on a budget, though Lisbon accommodation is pretty expensive for what you get. I enjoyed my stay here and living in a nice suburb of Lisbon that wasn't right in tourist hub, but was a nice easy 25 min walk down to the waterfront. Bathrooms were clean, not too many rooms so always had bathrooms when I wanted, kitchen and amenities were really good too, apartment building is safe and host was very friendly and helpful and looked after me- would definitely stay again.

I never get to meet the staff, but since I had to change the dates to stay, they accommodated it efficiently and promptly with the excellent communication. Location was pretty good with the local vibes even though it's not right at the city center, easy enough to access to the main areas, and to the airport as well by metro.

The kitchen was mostly clean, except the water flooding from the washing machine. Every morning, I see the puddle of water on the kitchen floor and if you're not aware of it, it's easy to step on, slip and trip over.

Functional rooms and utilities

My room door had done lock issues but the owner promised to check. The door still locks though

Very close to the metro station, street parking available(free on weekends), shower has nice pressure and hot water.

The walls are paper thin, you can hear the shower running across the apartment and people talking in the aisle etc., The main pain point however was that our room smelled like cigarette smoke which was very uncomfortable.
