"Very sweet little cottage, lovely location, good for the dog."

9.0

Beautiful little cottage in a great location, not far to walk to the beach and next door to pub and shop. Lovely little garden for the dog and very comfortable. Parking out the front a bit hit and miss but could always get a space round the corner in front of the church if all the spaces were taken. 10min drive to big supermarket and more facilities.

The cottage did feel like it was over due a deep clean rather than just the standard ‘change over’ clean. Dusting/cobweb removal, kettle descaling, oven degreasing, shower head lime scale removing etc. The main bedroom is great but be aware that the second bedroom is very small.

"Great location , the cottage is in need of some updating especially in the bathroom and bedrooms."

5.0

A great location. The facilities downstairs were good, a clean well equipped kitchen and a small area to sit in the sunshine.

The second bedroom is very small and both rooms are lacking storage space.

"Loved the cottage and location"

10.0

Everything was very simple to operate

Just a couple of small things like no shower gel or coffee for the machine which you would expect for the price charged.

"Nice cottage in a very pretty village, no problem with on street parking."

8.0

Nice cottage with a lovely garden. I liked the fact that the owners were quick to phone and check on us when a tree was blown down one night and blocked the kitchen door. I also loved the remote controlled fire in the living room, very easy to light after day out in the rain and wind. Always managed to find a parking space outside the cottage. I was glad to have a washer/dryer as there was no heated towel rail so had to dry damp towels half way through our stay.

The bin in the bathroom was still full from the previous guest and a grubby, wet cleaning cloth had been left on the kitchen table on our arrival. Also the beds had obviously been made in a hurry as the bottom sheet wasn't spread over the mattress properly on one side, never mind tucked in. There was a constant faint smell of turpentine in the bathroom, both my husband and I commented on it. During the night we could hear something scurrying across the ceiling under the thatch... birds? mice? rats? It woke us several nights. The sofas in the lounge where a bit saggy but that's just personal preference, I like to sit on a sofa not sink into it.
