This is an attractive B and B. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. The woman serving was friendly and helpful.

Had a fantastic time at Keene Valley Lodge. It's a charming old building but everything is kept in excellent condition, you can see how the owners put a lot of effort in decorating the place. Very nice common spaces, including a guest kitchen that was great to prepare sandwiches for our hikes. Breakfast was great. Had a lovely chat with the owner George at breakfast and he gave us some great recommendations. Will be back!

Clean, lovely, friendly

We stayed in the Beede Suite. It was lovely. Perfectly clean; comfortable beds with quality linens; a convenient kitchenette; adorably decorated; and effective AC... The common areas of the lodge are clearly given plenty of care. The area by the river was delightful! Breakfast was better than what is provided by most places nowadays, with great eggs, muffins, and more. Best of all may have been the owner, who gets five-stars-plus for her hospitality! As another reviewer had said, I hesitate to leave a review because it's tempting to keep the lodge a "hidden gem." Heehee.

(A note for light sleepers who are not early risers: The Beede Suite is adjacent to the kitchen, so it is fairly easy to hear the early morning food prep, particularly from the room with the twin beds. However, if such things are not an issue for you, the Beede Suite is fabulous! (We are likely to just bring an extra fan next time add some white noise if needed, because the suite is a joy to stay in.)
