Great hospitality, good breakfast and excellent food in restaurant

Right next to the river, nice to hear the ducks in the morning as you wake up!

Free stress-free parking and a comfortable room with a nice balcony overlooking the river. The staff is wonderful. My wife had an extreme migraine overnight, and when breakfast time came the man there helped me take breakfast up to her in the room, and I asked for ice so he gave me a large plastic bag full of ice cubes to put on her head, and she immediately started improving. He also gave us a bit of extra time for check-out so she could lie down and have some more time to recover. We are incredibly grateful for this, it really made a huge difference. The breakfast is great, and even though we did not sit there to eat, the breakfast area is very nice, with tables by the river. This is easily the most perfectly situated accommodation for a speed run through Croatia-Bosnia-Montenegro like we did. After touring Plitvice Lakes from 8-11 am, we headed straight to the motel via the Nova Sela border crossing, and Motel Most is only 15 minutes further. Now, you have no worries about border delays in the morning, and you can get up early and beat the tourist crowds to Mostar, without the stress of trying to park overnight in Mostar itself. Leaving Mostar by 1 pm, you can then drive to the Bay of Kotor via Klobuk border crossing, which has some stunning scenery. Bonus tip: If you arrive on a Monday, the restaurant is closed, a detail I missed when planning. We found that Mediteraneo (cash only) about 3 minutes drive away (ATM a bit further) has some pretty good pizza and does takeaway. You can eat on the balcony and enjoy the view :)

The only minor issue I can think of is that when we first arrived, being a Monday with the restaurant closed, the entire place seemed deserted, and the outside gate was locked. I was scared at first and thought I made a mistake. I walked around the side of the building for a few minutes before I eventually found a man there who checked me in and gave me the key. I suspect this is because I set my expected check-in time to be 18:00-19:00, but we skipped lunch and there were zero other cars at the border, so we arrived around 16:30. Not a big problem, but perhaps some communication to people checking in on a Monday about what to expect would be helpful.
