The Admirals Inn Guest House

Clean, quiet, cozy, comfortable temperature . I appreciated the immediate hellp when I needed to check in and was at the inn entrance not the larger hotel where they have checkin. I appreciated the help with my heavy suitcase when I arrived and when I left.

The fridge didn’t work and when I called they said they’d take care of it in an hour but they didn’t and then didn’t answer my later call or let me know anything. I as only there for one night but I did have vegetables and dairy I wanted to refrigerate.

Shower was cold only. Window did not open so no fresh air on hottest day of the year. Stiflingly hot. No bath mat. Smallest shower gel I've ever seen, 20ml. Annoying check-in requiring you to walk 250 yds to a pub to collect the keys.

Excellent value for money. Clean, generous sized room. Modern smart tv with decent wifi. Good breakfast. Pleasant friendly staff.

A B&B with no BREAKFAST This room is pretty small and to be honest is a single room forced to be a double with an empty family sized fridge in the room. Why? There's not much in this room, so surely it would be easy to keep in top condition. Bedside light doesn't work. The bedroom radiator heat control was broken off and left on the floor. As it was we returned to an icebox, very tired and cold. We had to do a temp fix on the radiator.. Most important thing is a comfy night's sleep. The mattress was way too soft, absolutely ZERO support. .Talk about pains we never had before. This morning I regret booking this place.Carrying a rucksack shortly, is gonna be awful. Finally the bathroom. Nice clean, but why is the shower position set for a 7ft individual. Impossible to lower and just irritating. The rail that holds the shower head is broken and needs fixing, so it can be adjusted.You didn't supply a shower cap, so I had to contort myself in order to keep my hair dry. It's 0613, I'm laying on the floor trying to ease the discomfort I feel.... Worst stay with Booking.com so far and in the future nothing less than an 8.5. Parting message, the room is small with few items in it. As such maintaining this room should be simple!!!! Do better please.

It wasn't made clear that I to check into the Inn first. Secondly there was no mention of breakfast until I saw the flier in the room. Bonus, but should have been made clear on booking..
