The hotel is beautifully designed and in a beautiful area very close to some picturesque beaches. The staff are very friendly and attentive and make it easy to organise trips and activities so you can experience Sumba. Surf lessons are a lot of fun and the village tour and waterfall tour are both great. Cocktails were really good, as was the food at breakfast. The hotel seems to have a good relationship with the local people and seems to have genuinely benefitted Sumba.

Some of the food at dinner was a little bland and could do with more spice/seasoning.

I love everything about Alamayah! The interior, cleanliness, the room, the villa, the food, the staffs are so helpful and nice.. Perfect stay at Alamayah... Will be back here for sure!

the artsy room interior and the villa vibe. the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of our friends were not in good health and the staff called the masseuse immediately in the morning after.

since it’s surrounded with garden, there might be any potential small leech. it is perks of staying close to nature and expect minimum wifi access too
