"Would not stay again in its current state."

5.0

Nice friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Very tired room, felt like it needed a good dust and clean. Very old bathroom, low pressure in shower. Held together by layers of silicone. Main bar and dining area felt dated and in need of refresh.

"Nice, quant stay, better for groups than on your own."

8.0

Staff were helpful, the room's shower was really nice, warm bed, good WiFi that was easy to connect. The pub itself is quite nice, quaintly appointed, in a location that is visually interesting; beer garden too. I just found myself staring at the clocktower and the hills reaching over the trees. I had the breakfast included - Amazing, exceptional full English. They serve meals until 9pm, if I stayed longer I would definitely give their menu a try.

Low ceilings, mind your head. The bedside clock shone really bright, it was like trying to sleep with a night-light, so I had to turn it off. Obviously given that it's a pub, you're gonna hear some noise at night, but I have slept in much quieter places. The walls must be thin because I could hear the people next door snoring. It's a tad on the expensive side. I stayed for a night in May 2026 for £143, a pint of Birra Moretti was £6.50 - All the other guests seemed to be couples, so perhaps that would be better value if you're coming here.

"Great night's stay"

The staff were all brilliant and the food superb. The communal fridge with water milk and juice was a nice surprise. The room was a fair size for a single, and had a pleasant view out over Giggleswick.
