Best Western Plus Mid County

Everything was great!

All was very well. My only issue was the breakfast. The eggs and biscuits were not tasty. There was no bacon available. The waffle was good, however.

I stay at this property every time I'm in Port Arthur. Always clean.

I chose the location due to prior experience

I did not like anything

This is a more modern hotel in the Best Western series; we love the "Plus" models more than the general Best Western hotels. This is a very comfortable hotel, nicely packaged rooms, baths, etc and you can control the temperature within your own room. Breakfast is very good - hot items for adults and young folks, plus cereals, waffles (all ages) shaped as the state of Texas. Reasonable cost for a very nice room.

The water pressure in our room was terrible. My wife and I had to take showers with a trickle of hot water. The TV would randomly stop working and I had to reset the cable box myself, but even then the channel guide wouldn’t open. Hotel looks okay on the outside, but it’s missing some details of being a good stay.

It was really great to have an EV charging station in the area because there were very few EV charging options available. The closest supercharger was in Beaumont, which was a 20-minute drive away. Will definitely stay again when I come back in town for that reason.

On night one the EV charging spot was occupied by a non EV. I was able to plug in and park near the roadway and speak to the manager on duty so that my vehicle would not be towed.
