Mahe Garden Inn and Villas

I stayed in Villa 7. This place could use a few repairs but then the cost would increase. For example, there’s a kitchen with a gas burner but no pots, dishes or cutlery. I actually purchased a pot so I could boil water for coffee in the morning. Comes with its own gecko in the kitchen.

I arrived at the very end of the rainy season. When I had a couple bites on my legs, I chalked it up to mosquitos. Then I got more bites and it was then that I realized that I’d only seen one mosquito land on me. The last night I slept there, I’d had several alcoholic drinks and probably slept more soundly as a result. When I awoke the next morning, the number of bites had increased exponentially. I realized that there were more on my left side than my right (I was sleeping on the left side of the bed) and that the bites were mostly on my front side (I primarily sleep on my back) and mostly where my PJs didn’t cover (I wear a short sleeved top and shorts set). At that point, I realized that it had to be bed bugs. I checked out and went to stay at the Hilton for my final night. I was too embarrassed to be seen in public so I ordered room service and hid in the room until I left for he airport the next morning. I showed the staff my bites but I don’t think they understood the gravity of the situation as they made up the bed for the next guest as usual. Luckily for me, it is winter back home so I will be able to put my suitcase outside for a week and hopefully kill anything that hitched a ride back to Canada.

Quiet... lots of greenery!

I had the inconvenience of coming across some rude employees... who stole my money... I left the keys and money for renting a scooter... from a company... and when someone came to pick up the keys and money... the money was stolen and not handed over by the money at the reception... shame..!!!

The villa close to the airport. During my stay, Bali was experiencing prolonged heavy rainfall, which led to flooding in many areas. Fortunately, the villa itself was not affected, and its proximity to the airport meant I was still able to catch my flight without any issues. If you are planning to visit Bali during the rainy season, this is something to bear in mind. The weather can be quite extreme, with unusually high levels of rainfall in many places. As for the villa itself, there are two units in total. The one I stayed in has a smaller swimming pool, while Villa No. 2 features a larger one. If I return in the future, I would specifically request Villa No. 2. I am not sure why it was not allocated to me, especially as it remained unoccupied during my stay. Although the swimming pool could not be fully enjoyed due to the constant rain, I did manage to make use of it briefly during dry period. The room is quite spacious, though slightly dated. However, the facilities are complete, and the television works well. The kitchen does not come with any utensils, although I did not need to use it. Bottled water is provided in rather small bottles, and it is not replenished daily. What impressed me was the helpfulness of the staff. After check-out, they kindly assisted in arranging transport to the airport at a reasonable price, which was very convenient. Overall, despite some drawbacks, I had a pleasant stay and would be willing to return. However, I would prefer to visit outside the rainy season so that I can fully enjoy the pool facilities.

Breakfast is simple,only three options,and no fruits provided as promised,so not worth the money.if come again,may not buy breakfast.
