Landhotel Weißer Hahn

It’s not easy to write something about Weisser Hahn hotel for me. The main reason is I’ve been there so many times that I feel like at home. If I had to describe how much I like that place, the vote would be absolutely five stars. By the way… I have to admit not every room is so big and comfortable. The lady who manage the Weisser Hanh is always very polite and the rooms are very clean. The price was really convenient few years ago, but they increased it constantly and it’s currently not so cheap as in the past. Wemding is a nice small place in the middle of Bavaria and the hotel is absolutely not bad. The quality of the restaurant is very good and the beer is amazing. I suggest to choose the typical Bavarian rooms (wood everywhere) even if the floor make some noise when walking on it. The walls are not so large, so it’s quite easy to hear people talking in other rooms. The pillow is strange, thin and soft. I even don’t use it. The parking area has been recently increased (really good) and a beer garden is available in the summertime. Free WIFI is always available. I suggest everyone to try that hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the years. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. The food in the restaurant is good too. Would definitely recommend to those visiting Wemding and the surrounding area. The only thing that lets it down are the pillows

+ Good location, friendly stuff, good price, simple design, comfortable room and clean bath, very good breakfast, WiFi in the room and work desk - good for business people, free tea on the corridor any time, hairdryer available, when you arrive you'll find candies on your bed; - If you're on top floor - no elevator, no shower cap, no shower kit.

The staff did an awesome job in making us feel welcome. Great hotel, character. Andrea did a great job in accommodating us with late night arrival. Apple strudel is out of this world. Homely and welcoming. Breakfast is very lavish.

We chose this hotel for the good reviews and the restaurant. When we arrived, the restaurant appeared to be closed (mind you, we were there on a Saturday end of June, so hardly out of season). Our room is very small and smelling strangely. The bathroom has the size of a closet. The bed is a horror. My wife fell through it (and she is a tiny person). The bed is also very soft, so I coudn't sleep at all. The room is very warm and the window can't be opened, so we had to open the door to get some fresh air. Wemding is a nice but very small village. When we were there 5 out of 6 restaurants and terraces were closed. There are a couple of positive things: The breakfast is great and the staff is very friendly. But isn't that always the case in Bavaria? To Sum it up: There are much better hotels in this area.

Have stayed here 4-5 times overnight on business, location is great, the older section of the town looks great also (did not have time for any tourist activities though so i cant comment on that). There is a restaurant open until 11:30pm in the town center if you are arriving late at night after a long drive. The hotel itself is very good value, service is good,(self service bar and reception in the late hours) breakfast is cheap, rooms and amenities are clean and tidy. Free wifi in each room is also very useful. Very hassle free.

Stayed as a stopover. Staff very friendly, service and food good.Room spacious and well appointed. Wemding is a very nice place to explore for an hour or so.
