The Palace 2008

The Unit The layout of this room is perfect. The open space makes it feel bigger in the living room and kitchen. The tub/shower has excellent water pressure. The rooms were good sizes and the balconies have amazing views. The big windows in the living room give lots of natural light. The Resort The location is decent, parking garage seems safe, security is always at the front door or walking the premises, the amenities are very nice.

The Unit The cleanliness of the room was very off, needs a deep clean to say the least. The couches while give plenty of room there is no comfort to them at all. The beds are small and are not comfortable. The shower in the main bathroom has 0 water pressure. The hot water runs out after only 1 short shower and you have to wait for it to get hot for anyone else to shower. This unit has a lot of protentional, it just needs a little attention. The Resort While the building is completely different people than the unit the place needs serious attention. The location is very good, the amenities at the resort are great, however there was a fire during our stay. This unit is on the 20th floor, the fire was on the 7th floor. We heard no alarms on our floor what so ever. We walked on to a balcony and heard what we thought was a car alarm. To be sure we walked out out inside door and sure enough the fire alarm lights were blinking.... still no sound! We tried the elevator just to be sure and it wouldn't work. After this we started hearing fire trucks so we immediately started running down 20 floors of stairs scared out of our minds. Around the 9th floor we began to smell the fire. When we reached the 7th floor we were met with firefighters who had us stop and wait a few mins before proceeding to run down. When we reached the front office they were evacuating the building, However alarms throughout the building still could not be heard. After returning back to the hotel after shopping and lunch, we were told the fire was still under investigation. Needless to say we got our belongings and headed home early. After letting the host know we didn't feel safe and would be leaving, a wish of safe travels was the only thing that was said in response.
