Sheena's Dartmouth Chalets

Very clean & comfortable. Very quiet apart from the first night with one noisy neighbour. Easy to get a bus into town.

Shower pressure was weaker than expected

Not happy with coin fed electricity meter, also numerous heaters not always efficient or warming. A really big issue was no wi-fi, essential when no on site representatives. Numerous notes and instructions, heating, house and water need to be simplified.

We liked the location, pretty close to Dartmouth and supermarkets, quiet area, loads of parking space, the chalets were big enough and very comfortable, clean bedding and floors, in general nice and clean. They have washing machine and a fridge freezer, instant water heaters for hot water ans shower, regular size oven and hobs. The lounge has 2 coaches ans smart tv. The houses warmed up pretty quickly with enough electric heaters in the property and stayed warm during all 4 days. There are £3 coins for emergency top-up in case you forget to bring coins with you, and 1-2 rolls of toilet paper to last untill you buy your own. Both chalets have good beds, UK double size, spacious bunk beds, a shower, downflow heaters and towel heaters in baths, night lights and all the cutlery and pots and pans needed.

The most annoing was the fact that we didn't know about the coin fed electric meter before booking, there is no mentioning about having to pay for your electricity in the advert/description. Only when we got the booking confirmation , there was a small printed sentence reminding us to get enough coins. It would have been nice to know about the £35-40 we need in coins for the 4 day vacation. Another issue was with the dampness due most likely the house not being lived in the last month or more. It took a while to get ridd of the bad smell. However, in one of the chalets that was at the end of the terrace, the external wall was pretty wet and it only dried in the last day of staying. And lastly, not as important as the other but it would have been nice to have a pub or some place to have a meal and a drink within walking distance.

The property was excellent. Good facilities provided in kitchen, bedrooms, lounge and bathroom. Clean and even in winter warm enough with the heating. I selected the good choice for my winter vacation.

Clear simple instructions

Loved how clean the property was and how cosy. The host Sheena gave us all the info we needed to make the stay a success. Coastal walks and Dartmouth Castle, Dartmouth pubs and great shops. Whats not to love?!
