"We greatly enjoyed our comfortable stay at Hualuxe and the local area."

The hotel and our room was very clean and beautifully decorated. Cosy and elegant, with friendly staff. Breakfast was a buffet with a decent variety of both chinese and western foods, along with staples like fresh fruit and freshly brewed coffee. We had it everyday for 6 days and still weren’t sick of it! The hotel was in a good location within 10-15min walking distance of the train station, a small local shopping street and two large shopping malls. Most of the restaurants and shops there were patronized by locals (shopkeepers didn’t speak much English, a translation app was a must!), so they were relatively cheap and VERY tasty. No overpriced tourist traps in this area!

The only downside is it was quite far from most major tourist attractions in Beijing. On average we had to take a Didi for 20-30mins (approx. 60CNY p/trip) to hotspots like the Summer Palace, the Bird’s Nest Stadium, and Qianmen St.
