La Mare Resort

Rigtig dejligt sted, men med meget dyr parkering.

Het meisje op de eerste avond achter de receptie was heel vriendelijk en begripvol!

Verblijf in de captains suite. Appartement komt totaal niet overeen met de advertentie. Foto's kloppen, maar omschrijving niet. Let daarop! Verder noemen ze het appartement net gerenoveerd, maar de vloer is ingelijk, tegels gebroken, deels niet gevoegd. Vlekken in beddengoed en handdoeken. Kasten kunnen nauwelijks open, alleen vanaf de vloer. Erg onhandig.

I booked La Mare and only then, a few days before arrival, decided to read reviews. You’ll notice that they’re a mixed bunch and, to be fair, I understand why but there are a few things I read which are just unfair. The cleanliness, quality of accommodation, comfort, WiFi (seriously? People rate a place based on WiFi?!) were all excellent. On top of this, the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful. We arrived a little after reception was due to close but they contacted me and explained that they’d wait. Staff were always on the end of an SMS if I needed any local knowledge too.

I didn’t ’not like’ this but I wish I’d been a little more aware of the area that La Mare is in. Essentially, you’ll be in the middle of a (very quiet) industrial estate. Don’t expect to be surrounded by bars, cafes, restaurants. You’ll be surrounded by warehouses. This didn’t bother my family and I at all. The area is quiet and very safe. The view from our houseboat (number 5) was lovely too - overlooking the river and a series of other yachts and boats. The tram line was a 5-10 minute walk away and the centre of town was about a 10 minute tram ride. We loved the chance to get some steps in every day!

Läget var intressant med ölbryggerier och padel i området. De hade uteservering och live band vid vattnet. Och mat.

Det var väldigt lyhört. Ingen i vårt sällskap eller i grannbåtarna kunde sova då folk går på bryggan hela tiden, folk sitter på sina båtar och festar till 3 på natten och pratar högt. Vid 5 på morgonen kom ett annat sällskap och spelade bongotrummor och väsnades till 6.30. Sängarna var hårda, alla vaknade med stel rygg. I receptionen blev vi inte informerade om att vi kunde låna jacuzzin el bastun heller.
