Casanova - Panoramic Rooms and Suites

Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and well equipped suits. Tuscany view, landscape and pool area were great. Staff was very helpful in finding the attractions and restaurant reservations.

The breakfast was decent but can be improved.

The hotel is close to town and has a good view from the superior rooms which have the balcony. The superior rooms are spacious and reasonably well appointed although as many other reviews have pointed out the TVs in the room are very old and tiny they do not work with syncing to phones or tablets or the Internet. The pool and facilities are generally nice and clean and there was plenty of seating around the pool with a good view over the Tuscan countryside.

The breakfast whilst plentiful was mainly sweet stuff, there was a lack of salad vegetables or savoury and warm cooked breakfast. It was really a case of quantity over quality if you like croissants and pastries and patisserie, this place is for you. The coffee from the machines was pretty good as sometimes hotel coffee is terrible. The fruit juices on offer were watered down to say the least, being cheap and watering down the juice makes them undrinkable. The reception could be a bit friendlier.

We had a pleasant stay. The setting in San Quirico d’Orcia was peaceful and well placed for exploring the Val d’Orcia area, and the outdoor spaces made it a relaxing base. The staff were lovely throughout our stay, always warm, helpful and welcoming.

The only downside was that our room felt quite dark, so it would have been nicer to have more natural light.
