SpringHill Suites by Marriott Truckee Lake Tahoe

The staff was great—super accommodating and honored my request for a high-floor room away from the elevators, which I really appreciated. The location is convenient, and I love that the hotel is pet-friendly.

Unfortunately, the room had visible stains—including in the bathroom—and the hallways and elevator areas had a musty, almost moldy smell. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the overall condition of the room felt worn given the price point. Also, the $100 pet fee felt steep, especially considering my dog is quiet, fully potty trained, and not at all messy. While I truly appreciated the service and location, I’d likely look elsewhere next time unless updates are made.

I was disappointed with my stay here. I stayed in Marriott Suites before but this one was sub-standard. The aisle had a bad smell on second floor. The room AC unit attached to window was very loud. I had to pay for parking which was not listed in the Expedia listing. The girl at the reception has an attitude; won't be very helpful with my questions. The other staff I encountered around the hotel were friendly. Overall I'd expect much better from a Marriott hotel.

We had a great stay at SpringHill Suites for a quick 3 day getaway to visit friends and enjoy summer in North Tahoe and Truckee. The hotel is in an easy to access location, just a few minute drive away from historic downtown Truckee and right off highway 80. We enjoyed the hotel gym, the hot tub and pool, and the clean and well maintained facilities. The hotel seems pretty new. Free breakfast was included which was a great perk and was a well stocked breakfast buffet including a make your own waffle machine, eggs, bacon, yogurts, oatmeal, cereal selection, breads and muffins. Parking was easy. Room was spacious and had a built in organizer for putting away clothes in the closet. I would definitely stay again.
