Very nice room, very friendly people

The host and her son were nice. The studio is quiet.

I was pretty disappointed by this accommodation. It was not super clean according to my standards (unwashed glasses and table + some ants running around), though it may have been according to British standards. The bed was also not really comfortable. Moreover, the TV was unusable during my whole stay (5 nights) because there was no remote control. When I asked for it, the boy advised me to download an app to be able to watch TV (?!!) and his mother said that the remote must have been somewhere in the studio, And last but not least, I could not take a shower for two days, because the water was burning hot. As a conclusion, I do not recommend this place.

I booked the wrong dates and turned up at the property a week before my booking dates, the property was not available, however the lady was very kind to have accepted my request to swap the dates to an earlier one which I am very thankful for. The property has everything you need to cook a good meal, washing machine provided, which is a bonus. Plenty of cooking pots and kitchen utensils. Small and compact but manageable. Host friendly and responsive.

The second night I didn't have hot water for shower. Water was just lukewarm. I texted them twice before someone came down to switch the hot water on at 11 pm before I could have a shower. Im not sure what time does the heater comes on. First day there, i had to ask them to put it on, second day was on but third day it didnt come on till late and it was very cold. Have to open the window to get the room ventilated after cooking, but then it get very cold and you cant turn the heating on because its controlled by them. Plenty of expired stuff in kitchen cupboards. Bathroom sink is so dirty, looks like it's never been washed. The sink is changed to brownish color. The carbon monoxide detecter was beeping on and off all the time. On my first day they told me they changed the battery, it stop for a day and started again, not sure if it needs servicing! But that was very disturbing kept me up one night, but the lady got me 10% discount through booking.com for that one night. But still, it's not fair for guest to have to go through this, it should have been looked at before renting out the place! The room is like a small annex and within the house,

The host was amazing and her son helped me with the wi fi on my phone I couldn't connect he came several times to support me. The hostess also gave me some traditional Ethiopian food it was absolutely delightful. It was noisy at times at night and in the early hours. However the overall stay was wonderful a great location and quiet. I would stay again just because of the people.
