"Great views, no WiFi"

6.0

Onich has terrific views of the loch with a nice little walk to the beach, updated bathrooms, and a good restaurant. But, our room was very small, the hotel shows a lot of wear, the lights in our room started blinking like strobes, and worst of all, the WiFi didn't work!

The view at this property just can’t be beat. It was glorious to watch sunset and sunrise on the loch and mountains. We stayed in a beach pod and it was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Good scenic setting c/w website description. Sofa bed was comfortable for one small adult. Kitchenette features and supplies were adequate. “Luxury” pod title is inappropriate. It is just a beach pod, very average. Comfy bed and bathroom. Very hot during the daytime. Evening time is spoiled by small flying insects (midgins), unless it is windy. They need screens on windows so they can be left open to invite flow through ventilation….Brkfst is well done and staff very service oriented.

The view from the pod is unmatched. We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. It was a good location accessible to Fort William and Glencoe.

This property is gorgeous! We had a lovely view right out our window. The rooms and parts of the hotel are a bit dated, however the bathroom was newly renovated and everything was clean. The staff were kind and helpful.

For the price, I thought this place would be nicer. The room smelled kind of like throw up and its in need for a renovation pretty bad. I think they reno'd the bathroom, but the room itself is pretty old - the rug doesn't even meet the wall in some areas.

The setting is lovely and the staff very nice. However, the Boothy Cottage is pretty much windowless so you are sort of in a cave-like setting. It was also quite chilly on the ground floor room-- space heater didn't have a fan. I did bring this to attention of management and they indicated they will look into this for future guests. Perhaps prices were high for the holiday weekend but this unit seems quite overpriced. But to be sure, the location is great and we had a lovely weekend-- just spent little time in the room.
