Kapuhala Sicily

Everything was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly, the view and the smell of fresh herbs in the garden were priceless and the accommodation was very nice and clean.

We absolutely loved Kapuhala- in desperate need of complete relaxation the team and location delivered in spades. From the moment we got there we felt welcomed and looked after. Our maisonette was perfect for two and padding out on to the veranda every morning and drinking our cuppas surrounded by vines, sage and lavender was a little peace of heaven. I can’t rave about this place enough. Kapuhala is simple and rustic in the best possible way with clearly a lot of care and attention given to the little details. Breakfast was delightful with fresh fruit and pastries and dinner was utterly delicious and far exceeded our expectations. Being seated under a tree, over looking the olive groves as the Sicilian sun sets is a moment we won’t forget. Plus the caponata- we are still talking about it now! We relaxed, we saw the sights of Sicily, we drank 5pm aperitivos on our sunbeds, we snoozed in the shade at lunch time, we tried great wine (the farms very own delicious Nero d’Avola and Grillo wine) and ate great food. We would go back in a heart beat.

As with most of the island just be prepared for the insect bites in the evening. We didn’t apply mosquito repellant on the first evening and we got munched! But we quickly learnt and armed ourselves with mosquito spray!

The location is very nice. The pool is nice too.

Property management is almost absent. - Bar at the pool was closed. - Restaurant was closed. - Warm water broke and it took 2 days to fix. - there was no one at the reception most of the time, although the property was reachable via whatsup - no choices for breakfast. You get what they give you, which is bread / butter / marmalade and honey / and a yogurt. There will be from time to time a croissant or a sort of cake / muffin.

We had a great time at Kapuhala sicily. The facility is very well maintained, the pool clean and the view of the vineyards just beautiful. You have your privacy in the apartments and on the terrace. The breakfast was also lovingly prepared and the staff super friendly. Best regards to Emanuele, who has sweetened our vacation with his warm manner and his tips!

Stunning property in the beautiful Sicilian countryside. The staff were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with beautiful decor. The breakfast was amazing and absolutely loved that they grew their own produce. Would definitely come back and stay again.

The place is very well located in the middle of the Sicilian country side, 10km from Pachino and 15km from Marzamemi. The view is breathtaking as you enjoy a 360 view over vineyards and olive threes. The independent country-houses guarantee privacy and relax.

The bath-room of our house was a bit small and a bath-tub would have been ideal. Forniture shall have been sourced locally nut overall are of a very good quality. Unfortunately we could have not tasted the restaurant as the service was not offered during our stay at the end of April due to lack of staff.
