Hostal Beatriz

The hostal was conveniently located for our trip north. It was clean, the staff were friendly, and they have access to secure parking which is a short walk away.

The hostal walls were very thin, and many rooms are on the road, at a junction, so traffic noise was significant. The floor drain in our bathroom was smelly, and the smell entered the room too.

The staff was super friendly. You have a great view over the sea from the common room upstairs.

Some rooms do not have windows to the outside (but the staff gave me one with a window after I requested it :-) ).

The place is really cozy, clean and well organized. There is no breakfast but the facility provides a full furnished kitchen that you can use as you please, which comes very handy if you are travelling on a budget and prefer to handle your meals by yourself.

We found the price to be a bit high compared to similar facilities in the same region, but we figured it is probably for the limited availability in town. Anyway the staff has been very helpful and tried to help us in any way possible with our needs, we would go back just for that.

both the window of bed and bathroom were open (it’s winter), but with no heating available, it’s not so nice. stayed cold all the time. the fact that the door is closed and they answer the door by opening the window at the first floor, gave me the feeling the neighborhood was not safe (in combination with a beggar as soon as I stopped my car), but hey, nothing happened with the car at night!
