Bluedome Cavehouses by Otium Villas

This property is a true gem. Nicest place I have ever stayed in all our travels in Europe. The junior cave house suite was so beautiful. The best part was the breathtaking view of the 3 blue church domes right next to the property!!! Was wonderful to sit on our private balcony for coffee or wine and take in the exquisite view of the domes & the caldera. The private hot tub (same view, a level up) was relaxing and needed for once the sun goes down in May it is quite cool. I selected this villa based on the view & amenities but the fact that the host was such an exceptional concierge added to our experience tenfold!!! You cannot put a price on such service. I was in contact with him for months before we arrived and throughout our stay. He always responded quickly. The service was incredibly professional and very helpful. He arranged all our taxis for airport transfers and to a sunset winery dinner mid island. He arranged a curated tour and booked it with a tour guide. I indicated the spots we wanted to visit in Santorini and he and the tour company put it together; excellent job! The host also has porter service to carry the luggage to the villa. The steps are somewhat difficult and would be impossible without this assistance. (please leave your large luggage at home). Our host met us upon arrival and called when we departed to apologize for not seeing us off because he was busy in a meeting. Such over the top service is a rare treasure. This is an all star villa to stay in while visiting Oia! How many stars? A million!

What didn't we like? We had to return home.....

Short term stay. The Villa is extremely spacious and the cliffside views of Oia are magical. The artuictual esthetic of inside the Villa is an experience that any United States 🇺🇸 citizen coming to visit Santorini should stay at (message from Florida resident). The famous blue and white dome views are right out side your porch area with the amazing views of sea along with fresh sea breeze and fresh air. Nicholas was our host. I came here to celebrate my 50th birthday and I hope that everyone is able to experience this little peace of heaven.

Stunning and spacious property in the most incredible location. Enabled us to experience the best of Santorini as waking up to that view was a real privilege. Didn’t want to leave.

Nick and Alfred both manage the property extremely well. They help the guests with luggage as needed which is very handy in this location of Santorini. Oh, and the villa is brilliant with the best views on the island.

This was my best stay in Santorini and my bucket list has been checked. The 3 blue dome is just directly next to our room. We can skipped the queue and take as many photos as we like everyday. Spectacular view of Oia . The room is huge with 2 toilets , a living room and a kitchen corner with coffee machine. We love their huge tv with Netflix/ yahoo channels and also the outdoor heated tub. Only 2 things if can provide bathrobe and disposable house slippers, it will be wonderful. Although we didn’t see the host, Nic, throughout the stay, our communication was smooth and fast response in app message. His assistant Alfred is our great help on luggage and information on the room. There are couple of tourists and photographers will come outside our patio for photoshoots but they’re not loud or noisy. Getting out and in maybe challenging with the crowd in the narrow lane as they’re queuing for photoshoot and they will think you’re cutting queue. Just have to take our keys and say we’re going yo our villas and they will make way. Overall, we love our stay and highly recommend to stay in this villa, slightly more costly, but it’s worth it.. the view and central location in Oia. Will definitely be back.

The terrace was on a split level, so with kids it was less than ideal, with wet steps, and we had to walk outside the property to get to our room, not secure nor as safe as I would have liked
