"Great stay, weird set up"

10.0

The breakfast was surprisingly great and they were very happy to help with celiac disease gluten free people! The staff were very kind. SANTA WAS AISO IN THE LOBBY at Christmas which is nice

Things were a bit odd, the soap and shower head are fixtures (which is fair bc ppl steal stuff but) the soap is very far away from the sink? Its just kinda weird

"I am disgusted and should have and may still contact police to report the incidents."

1.0

Breakfast was fair - aside from the broken juice machine. It is not acceptable that they replaced this with iced tap water - they needed to put out either jugs or bottles of juice.

I came to the Hampton inn for the second year in a row so that my son and I could get a good night sleep, enjoy the pool & the breakfast while visiting our family. My son is autistic and routine & rest are extremely important to him. We felt unsafe on several occasions and despite reporting to the staff at the front desk, nothing was done about it. Sadly we were not able to get a room with 2 beds. This would have been the least of our problems as we were unable to sleep either night. There was an enormous group of unruly children and parents - hockey players and their families who took over the building. The children were running around the pool and diving into it despite the signs warning the shallow pool where no diving was allowed. All the children were 10 years or younger and not one parent was in the pool enclosure. They were in fact in the hallway and all drinking while standing and walking around the open areas, halls and lobby of the hotel. Later the children ran up and down the stairwells, halls and all over building, slamming and knocking on doors, shouting and screaming until well past 1:30 am while the parents continued to consume alcohol in the open spaces. As the building does not serve alcohol, this means that not only were they breaking general rules of social and public conduct in not containing their children and the disruption past 11 pm - but in fact they were breaking the law. I was prepared to pay $667 for the 2 nights if in fact we were able to actually get a decent sleep and use the facilities. Sadly from the very first night we felt disrupted and also unsafe. I am still waiting to hear from upper management who seems to think that the gross negligence on the part of their staff is mended with 20% off. I hardly agree that my son feeling like he needed to hide, or cry himself to sleep for 2 nights constitutes me paying over $500 for this stay. I am thoroughly disgusted with the cold , uncaring staff.
