⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ A beautiful resort with wonderful staff, but attention to detail needs improvement. There is a lot to love about this resort. The setting is stunning, many of the team are genuinely warm and welcoming, and when things are done well, they are done exceptionally well. A special mention goes to the evening housekeeping team during our stay, who did an excellent job. The room was thoroughly cleaned, the bedding changed, and everything was brought back to the standard we would expect from a resort at this price point. Unfortunately, consistency was lacking. On one occasion, the morning housekeeping service appeared to consist of little more than making the bed. Dirty towels were not replaced, used cups and plates were left in the room, coffee pods were not replenished, sinks were not cleaned, and the room itself had not been properly serviced. We also experienced a complete lack of hot water throughout an entire day, which was disappointing. What frustrated us most, however, was the lack of attention to detail. The in-room television channel continued to advertise a "Double the Delight" 2-for-1 cocktail promotion at Manta Bar between 17:00 and 19:00. We reported on the day we checked in that this information was inaccurate, yet several days later it was still being displayed. Details matter, particularly when guests are paying premium rates and choosing a resort based on its reputation. None of these issues ruined our stay, and we genuinely encountered many lovely members of staff who worked hard to make guests feel welcome. However, a luxury experience is built on consistency, and there is a noticeable gap between the resort's potential and the level of attention to detail currently being delivered. With a little more focus on housekeeping standards, maintenance and accurate guest information, this could easily be a five-star experience.

I highly recommend this resort. It was one of the most special places that I have ever stayed. Everything about the resort was 5 star!

Perfect boutique hotel, perfect garden, perfect service, perfect sand beach... But sea water somehow polluted from nearby city.

Trip arranged by a friend for his family, I came along. A mature resort with beach, small pool, wifi, gym, spa. I wouldn’t have hacked the upper units so was on the ground floor. Twin beds (can be made into king) but single basin. Sort of outdoor wc and shower. Food disappointing so not exactly a resort one would spend the entire stay within. TV with remote control. I haven’t stayed at other places here so am perhaps being a bit strict.

I really enjoy my time in Sudamala resort Bajo, the room is clean and spacious, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the food is fine, the facility are working well. They even have free airport transfer! (in certain time schedule)

Our visit was wonderful. The resort is beautiful and quiet, the room was clean and modern. Staff were so friendly and warm. Breakfast was delicious. The beach area was gorgeous with stunning sunsets. The only minor feedback I would give is the cushions on the sun loungers kept slipping down. All in all though, I would definitely visit again.

The service was excellent from the time we were picked up at the airport. The resort is quiet, clean, safe, with a beautiful ground and beach at sunset. Buffet breakfast was great with international selection, but i love that there was also different dish of Balinese food everyday. The resort also prepared take out breakfasts for us when we had to leave at 530am for a tour one day. We had a wonderful stay!

Tran and I recently enjoyed a wonderful 7-night stay at Sudamala Resort in Labuan Bajo on Flores Island, Indonesia, and our experience was exceptional from beginning to end. As full-time world travelers, it takes a great deal to impress us, but Sudamala Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. Located about 15 minutes outside Labuan Bajo and directly on the beach, the resort offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere while still being conveniently close to town. From the moment we were greeted at the airport through check-in and throughout our stay, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The beachfront setting is beautiful, and the entire property is impeccably maintained. We constantly saw staff tending to the grounds, which reflects the pride they take in the resort. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained by the housekeeping staff. We also loved the restaurant overlooking the pool and beach, where we enjoyed all of our meals. The food was consistently excellent with a great variety of Indonesian and international dishes. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the people. Every staff member we encountered was warm, kind, professional, and eager to help. We especially enjoyed speaking with the front desk and restaurant teams, who made us feel like “part of the family.” We also appreciated seeing General Manager Mr. Wisnu interacting daily with both guests and staff, which clearly sets the tone for the resort’s welcoming atmosphere. We would particularly like to recognize Olik, Yolan, Frengki, Anto, Yane, Desy, Erick, Putra, Yovan, Asre, Firmin, Vincent, Agung, and Dev for going above and beyond to enhance our stay. Thank you to everyone at Sudamala Resort for such a memorable experience. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Labuan Bajo and Flores Island and hope to return again in the future.
