Mere Brook House

Fantastic staff - warm and welcoming, friendly and helpful. Wonderful comfy bed and powerful shower. Beautiful house with fantastic original features and surrounded by pretty garden for guests to enjoy. Delicious breakfast, home made biscuits and cakes. A little traffic noise when in the garden, but you could not hear traffic at all when inside the house. We loved the traditional decor and furnishings and although this is just my personal taste, I would have preferred this theme to be consistent rather than an eclectic mix of old/modern. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back.

This is a beautiful building only bettered by the staff who are warm and friendly nothing is too much trouble.

Initially I had concerns as my tv/wifi didn't work, but I was upgraded (for free) to a better room with both tv/wifi working fine. The place is nice, a little hard to find maybe, but for me the difference is the people, they just make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble.

It was a great stay made by the excellent welcome we had from the staff and the beautiful breakfast it was a good experience and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

A perfect alternative to staying at a traditional hotel. Excellent secluded location, beautiful property, first class staff.

Delicious breakfast, good location. We loved the character of the place.

We stayed for one night in the Coach House in a room called Flora which was a great garden room with an outside space. The history of the house and the grounds were lovely. We had a great breakfast and would recommend Mere Brook for a stay or an event.
