Mani Stone Towers

We loved the location with views over the coast of the Mani peninsula and across to Messenia, close to a beach and the fabulous town of Ag. Nikolaos. The owners were lovely and gave us lots of information on places to visit, restaurants etc. They are creating a very pleasant place to stay with plans for more rooms all thoughtfully built in the local style. Definitely a place to come back to!

We stayed at Mani Stone Towers and had an overall pleasant experience, but there were a couple of major issues that we encountered.

First, we were not aware that we couldn't use the tap water. When I made coffee, it tasted awful, and only then did we learn from the owner that the tap water was salty and that there was an ongoing pipe renovation. It would have been very helpful to know this beforehand so we could have bought bottled water in advance. Instead, we had to make an extra trip to the store, which was a 15-minute drive away, to get potable water. This inconvenience could have been avoided with a simple heads-up. Additionally, there were lots of mosquitoes, which made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor spaces. Other than that, the accommodation was comfortable, the location was scenic, and the facilities were as described. We would recommend future guests check with the owner about the water situation and come prepared for mosquitoes to avoid similar inconveniences.

Not so clean, not so soundproof, stayed for 4 nights, no change of towels, bedsits, no taking out trash.
