Hyatt Place Amarillo-West

Very nice and beautiful. Room was very clean and had everything we needed.

My only complaint is that in all my looking on the listing it did not say the amount for the pet fee was $75 which was almost as much as I paid for the room along with the $50 deposit making the amount I was expecting to pay much higher than budgeted. Staff was very kind and gave us free breakfast with it for the surprise. Recommend having that information included in the listing so others can plan better for their trips.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Place Amarillo-West and overall had a very pleasant experience. The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Jared at check-in, he was exceptional. Not only was he professional and kind, but he also took the time to keep us informed about the wildfires happening in the surrounding area, which we truly appreciated during our travels. The hotel itself was comfortable and conveniently located, which made our stay enjoyable. The only disappointing part of our visit was the housekeeping service. Unfortunately, our room was never serviced during our stay. After spending the entire day out in town, it was frustrating to return to unmade beds and dirty towels still piled on the bathroom floor. We ultimately had to go down to the front desk late in the evening to request clean towels so everyone could shower before climbing into the unmade beds. Aside from the housekeeping issue, the staff’s friendliness and Jared’s outstanding customer service really stood out and made a positive impression on our stay.

This is a pretty standard motel/hotel. Everything is done to an acceptable standard. The air conditioner was something akin to an aircraft engine on a test bed until we just turned it off. Otherwise, the room was comfortable clean, neat and tidy with a good desk and and a nice big bed. all ok with the normal well trained pleasant staff. There is a Red Robin restaurant adjacent (nothing else for miles). Something new for me and an acceptable standard of food with a pleasant accommodating staff.

Pool maybe a little more privacy or something to cover up windows felt exposed .

The check in was very easy, and the location if travelling on I-40 is convenient. Room was clean.

The TV didn't work in the room. We called to see about another room, but tapparently it is a hotel issue at present. I had to fiddle with the back of the tv myself to get anything to turn on, but they charged us full price for the room. Additionally, the shades seem to be missing the black out portion, so we had a tough time trying to fall asleep with lights from the neighboring hotels and interstate coming into the room. To boot, the sun woke us earlier than we had wanted after a 9 hour drive in the dark!

Have stayed at many properties in this location on our way to NM or CO, would say this is our new favorite! Quiet, clean, the lobby bar was a nice thing. Good breakfast. Friendly staff!
