Fisher's Loft Hotel

This is a quirky and special hotel situated right in the heart of old Lubeck. We booked one of the lofts and enjoyed the central location as well as the quiet courtyard.

The living arrangements have not been thought through completely. Some things, such as a curtain that properly conceals the bathroom from outside view, would be appreciated. The rooms are not soundproofed, so that noise from the upstairs neighbors can be penetrating. We were served a meaty breakfast although we are vegetarians.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön restauriert und eingerichtet, mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das Frühstück haben wir als besonders toll empfunden.

Trotz des wunderschönen Hotels würden wir wohl keine Empfehlung, zumindest für unser Zimmer, aussprechen: In der ersten Nacht war das Zimmer über uns scheinbar nicht belegt, was wir dann in der zweiten Nacht bemerkten... Man hört leider wirklich jeden Schritt und kann teils Gespräche mithören. Wir waren bisher in keinem derart hellhörigen Hotel und es liegt hier nicht am Altbau - das kann und hätte man anders lösen müssen. Sehr schade.

Rent, pent, flott boutiquehotel, særdeles hyggelig betjening. tidlig stengt resepsjon, men et fantastisk tillitsbasert selvbetjeningssystem om kvelden!

Breakfast was absolutely stupendous. You will not need to eat again for the rest of the day. This also seems to be the signature item for the hotel. Location is super on the central island where you really have to be if you are staying in Lübeck. The building itself has been developed with great care, understanding and creativity and I would really spend some time exploring all the little nooks and crannies. All very wonderful and quirky.

Staff shortages mean that there is no round the clock staff. When we arrived at the given and stated opening time in the aftrernoon the door was still locked and we had to wait a little to check in. Not a biggy, but it is not our fault if the hotel says they will open at x hours and we are there on time and then we call the given number on the door to get access. We then blowback because they were having a staff meeting that overran. Is that our problem? Smile and be nice. We are the people who pay your wages and bills.
