Villa Verde

Very big, cozy, and everything included! It is spacious enough to make sure everyone has some space for themselves. Perfect for a longer stay, too. We stayed with a group with an age from 3 until 72 years. Perfect for all of us.

If you really want to explore, we recommend a car.

Location was perfect. Close to the beach, some local restaurants and a nearby gas station with convenience store. Also the fact that it is in a gated community provided security. Arriving late at night, we were happy to find some complimentary items in the fridge (like bread, juices, soft drinks). Also cleaning and washing items for clothes and dishes came in handy.

Being 3 couples, we did not like the 2 adjacent rooms. Going through one bedroom to get to the 3rd bedroom, did not work for us. (Will work for a family with young kids, but not for a group of friends) The front door of the 3rd room (going to the patio in front) need to be more secured in the same manner as the back door which leads to the patio in the back. Sliding door of the living room need some oiling to slide more smooth.

Location was good. Hosts were helpful and quick to respond. House was very comfortable and clean.

When we arrived at the location, there was no power. I contacted the management who told me they didn't know when it would be back on so I asked how to turn on the generator. I was told there was no generator. This was very frustrating because I'd emailed the property management company a few days before our arrival to see if there was a generator and was assured that there was. This was annoying because all of the houses around us had power because they had generators. We ended up having to use flashlights to get around the house that night. Fortunately, the power was restored during the night. The management company did not do a very good job of following up with me or keeping me informed about the power situation. In fact, I received texts from management the next day telling me they still didn't know when the power would be restored and the power had been restored.

I wanted to give myself some time to think over how I could sum up my stay at Villa Verde - that maybe the magic would wear off once I got back home..but that is farthest from how I feel. Villa Verde was a dream come true of a stay, and felt like a home for a much needed vacation. I stayed here with a group of women and we felt absolutely SAFE and SECURE on the grounds. It's located in a gated community and the grounds have locks through all access points of the property. This was important since it was my first visit to the island. 3 bedrooms, multiple comfortable beds and THREE bathrooms - all the amenities provided - the patio - the backyard which was a super bonus - and if you rent a car as I did, there is (secure) parking too. VV is 15 min from the airport and a 20 minute drive away from old San Juan. The beach is within walking distance and a local grocery store too. if you have UberEATS, you can order whatever you need to the house as well - our first night we ordered from LA ALCAPURRIA QUEMA and the alcapurria's arrived hot and crispy. I can't wait to visit the island again, and the only place I'll be staying at is Villa Verde <3
