The bed

The bathroom door handle, only becacouse I didn't chop my fingers but with that door I nearly did hop my fingers. Change the handles that can chop a child's fingers.

Comfortable bed

Nondescript hotel room with absolutely no charm or attempt to make it a pleasing experience. Way too expensive for what you get.

"Pet owners....BEWARE! Exorbitant pet fee."

The location was okay although the traffic noise on the front side of the motel was pretty bad.

The undisclosed pet fee when booking on a third party site. What a complete shock to be told of a $149 pet fee at check in. This was so out of line and unacceptable. Had the room not already been paid, I would have cancelled. Furthermore, the first room we were given was not clean. The desk manager came and looked and agreed. We were moved to another room. This whole experience was very disappointing. After a call to a manager, we at least got the pet fee down to $75. This was still well in excess of anything we had ever paid for any motel we had stayed in on our trip.

Hotel is clean, rooms comfortable and clean. Staff prompt and helpful. Good room shades blocking out light and much of the noise from the road below --Mission st, a busy thoroughfare. Location great, quiet but accessible to beach, campus, downtown. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room is really pleasant, The 24-hour coffee - tea feature is wonderful, thank you.

I stayed two nights --Friday and saturday, leaving sunday. I was using the room till about 12 noon on Saturday, but asked the room to be made up after that, but it was not, I do not know why. I should have had a clean room to return to . OTherwise fine
