The Churchill By Greene King Inns

Visited the Churhill 7th October, first time in a long time. Very pleasantly surprised, new people, very polite staff and our lunch meals were very good, excellent service, Team Leader Anne or Anu? extremely helpful and polite. It was a pleasure eating there and will definately return

Lovely Rooms, Friendly Staff, And Fantastic Breakfast . We had travelled down from a funeral, and The Churchill was the ideal location. There were 4 couples . Nice Pub Restaurant right beside the accommodation. also ample parking. Only a short trip into Swindon from Wooton Basset.

Disappointing service in the pub/ restaurant! After ordering at the bar we waited over half an hour for our food which can be tricky with a toddler & dog in tow. Food was very nice once it arrived although my daughters salmon dish arrived without the potatoes so the meal was taken back to kitchen for them to add them although the waiter could have just brought a portion of potatoes to the table. We made the mistake of ordering dessert as that also took half an hour to arrive with no apology from the waitress for the delay.! There seemed to be plenty of staff but the ordering system needs some attention.

We are semi regulars at the Churchill in royal Wootton basset and have been going there over the last twenty years at least, we went in this afternoon for a drink and a snack, very disappointed with the service and the appearance ,after waiting for at least 10mins for a member of staff to apear choose a table had to clear up the mess left from previous customers sat my partner down, went to the bar and finally got the attention of a member of staff ordered our drinks, staff didn't seam to know the deference between new Zealand and chillian wine! After drinking them we decided to move on elsewhere. DO NOT RECOMMEND. DO NOT USE.

The hotel and pub is in a great location and the rooms are clean and spacious. We ate in the restaurant and it was reasonably priced and had everything we ordered. The food was nice and the service great, overall a great night's stay, a fully charged car and a happy family off on their adventures 😎 x

The Churchill comprises two buildings - the hotel accommodation in one ( as shown in the photo ) and a pub/restaurant a very short walk away . The latter offers a normal bar and reasonably priced meals . The hotel itself is well located a couple of miles from a junction on the M4. It is quiet ( the motorway can be seen in the far distance ) and the rooms are modern with a well equipped bathroom and a comfortable bed.

Used as base for the weekend to visit the Royal International Air Tattoo. Room was spacious and clean,toilet and shower was cleaned each day and spotless. I would recommend this hotel .
