Motel 6 Columbus OH - OSU North

I liked the price and distance from the venue I was going to that night.

The shower water pressure and hot water temperature gave something to be desired.

The location and price were great. Desk staff was friendly. Breakfast, what breakfast??

Dried pee drops on the toilet seat, hair in the bathtub, cigarette smoke coming in through the bathroom fan, screaming/fighting people outside our window late at night, poor wifi.

The guy at the front desk was extremely nice. I was in town for a concert and when I checked out the next morning, he remembered me mentioning it and asked how it was and told me about other events in the area in case I wanted to come back. (Just a nice little personal touch) The room was very clean, especially for a stereotypical motel.

There isn’t much parking and the entrance was a little hard to get to if you don’t know the area. The bed was hard and not very comfortable.

Air conditioning leaking water on the floor, room was not clean, and a crackhead was banging on the door at 4am.

Poor maintenance and area is full of drug addicts. Also took 2 hours to check in because booking.com didn’t send the right information to the motel.

Let's start with the best of the worst. Probably my fault for assuming but I expected there to be a coffee maker because there has been in every room I've ever stayed in. That was pretty unimportant compared to the rest. I'm not sure if the room sat uninhabited for a while, but it was so humid that everything felt a little bit damp. The comforter felt like it had been pulled from a dryer too soon. I would think that were the case if it didn't also look unwashed, sporting a variety of stains and physical food debris from prior guests. I got to fall asleep to the sounds of a mother screaming at her child on a bed that felt like a prison cot. After what I saw on the comforter, I put my jacket on the pillow to sleep, not trusting that those were washed either. I thought it was going to be luxurious to get a king bed for a night, but my $200 Amazon mattress felt comparatively like a cloud. The bath products were all highly perfumed so I unfortunately could not shower. It was a non-smoking room, but I'm not sure if someone was just smoking in it anyway or it used to be a smoking room. It smelled horribly like cigarettes to the point it contributed to the difficulty sleeping. I checked in ten minutes before midnight and left as early as I could because I would rather go home than spend more time sleeping there.

had a couple of rooms one the room upstairs bathroom leaked down into ours the other room the mattresses were real bad!!!
