Villa Tsuchi

We had the Villa Driver Sam collect us from the airport and arrived a little before check in. It was not a problem and we were still able to check in. The staff were very accommodating.

We loved our stay and have stayed many times at Villa Soleh and now Tsuchi as our family’s needs change. Great location. We will be back.

Water temperature can be temperamental.

The bedrooms are two completely separate rooms. You cannot walk from one bedroom to the other via a connecting door. You have to leave the room and walk around to the other. Not ideal for a family with baby/kids. Was very difficult and stressful for us as we couldn’t hear our child from our room. The villa is entirely outdoors, there is no interior house.

Beautiful villa, exactly like the pictures. Communication with the host was good. Great sunlight on the pool. Beds are super comfortable. Location is AMAZING, close to Eat Street with cool restaurants and bars. Ginger Moon was lovely. Quiet overnight that we hardly heard anything.

I would score higher but during our time there were quite a few blips with the facilities. The aircon in the bedroom on the first night made an absolutely horrrifc noise, to the point where we had to turn it off and be super hot as it was unbearable. The toilet flooded in our bedroom, and water came alll the way through into the bedroom, there was also a really awful smell in the other bedroom toilet and the water kept coming really high (but not flooding). We were very careful not to flush any wipes or tissues down the toilet. The safe also wasn't working. Communication with the host was good and the next day he got maintenance out to fix the lockbox and AC, and got someone out in a few hours to fix the toilet. We also got the private chefs organised by the host. It was basic but nice enough, just HUGE portion sizes. They toasted a whole loaf of bread for four people! We had to tell them to reduce the portion size the next day. Unfortunately we all got food poisoning the next day. My father in law thought he might have seen one of the chefs washing the fruit in the tap water - so please feed this back to the chefs. Obviously we cannot say whether this caused our food poisoning, but the only other place we ate was Merah Putih (an extremely fancy fine dining restaurant). I would probably avoid the private chef options and dine out in Seminyak if you are planning on staying here. There are many lovely places to eat and we were a bit sad that we missed out. I didn't love the key drop off and collection system - would much prefer a lock box as having to meet someone when you are checking out just adds a bit of extra stress when trying to get a taxi etc.

showerhead water pressure was a little strong for my liking and would have preferred a more secure lock on the main door

Absolutely loved Villa Tsuchi. Location was excellent. So close to fabulous restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Ginger Moon a short walk away, is a must visit. Food amazing. The villa was such a sanctuary to relax in after a busy day. The pool lovely & refreshing. The Villa was clean & the Filtered water icy cold. What a wonderful place to stay in the heart of Seminyak!!!

Beautiful facilities, water dispenser which is completely filtered, great pool, comfortable beds and perfect location right in the centre of Seminyak but feels very safe. Staff were also very accomodating of our very late check in and check out!
