Holiday Inn Express - Milwaukee Downtown by IHG

Loved the bathroom, it was spacious and clean. I really liked that the shower head was mounted high. As a tall person, I did not have to bend or lean to get under the spray!

My stay at this hotel was unacceptable from start to finish, and I am extremely disappointed that the property kept my deposit despite numerous issues. The hotel environment was excessively loud and chaotic, resembling a nightclub rather than a hotel. The music was so loud that it was impossible to relax or even watch television, and the overall smell and atmosphere were unpleasant. Parking was another issue—there is no complimentary parking, only valet service costing $30–$35, and the valet was not consistently available. Additionally, there were panhandlers directly in front of the building, creating an uncomfortable and unsafe first impression. The room was not properly cleaned, particularly the restroom. I also paid extra for a city-view room and did not receive what I booked. Breakfast did not meet basic standards: the hours were inaccurate, food options were limited, and the breakfast meat was undercooked. Staff offered little assistance, and there was no manager available when concerns were raised. When I eventually spoke to a manager, I was told nothing could be done and that the situation was acceptable. This response was unacceptable given the circumstances. This property does not meet basic hospitality standards, and keeping my deposit after such a poor experience is unacceptable. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to reconsider booking here.

Clean, friendly, helpful

Location was perfect. I always loved Holiday Inn. Breakfast was awesome, so much variety. The Staff here is great and so is the facility. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Milwaukee. Forgot to mention the room was cool, even a hair dryer in bathroom. Also loved the chaise to recline on . Got to watch MLB on the TV and thankful for fridge and microwave. Due to dietary rest I ate my own food mostly while I was here.

Hallways were dirty, our hotel bathroom can tell the floor hadn’t been cleaned in a while and we were placed in room right by elevator so heard people all night
