The warm welcome on arrival. Everything,the attention to detail, the little extras. The homemade granola.

Everything was exceptional! Even though we were provided with the door code we were also met by Gabby - who was lovely and very helpful. The accommodation was perfect and the breakfast provisions of bacon, eggs, fresh bread, butter, milk and tea and coffee were more than we expected. We were even left a bottle of bubbly, wine and sparkling cider! We felt so welcome and the cottage was so well set up and sparkling clean we felt right at home. The location of the cottage meant that we could easily walk into the village across the Richmond Bridge but were also in a peaceful, quiet spot away from the day trippers! Loved, loved, loved A Cottage in Richmond!

We would have loved to have stayed in the cottage when there were horses and trees in the fields behind the garden - sadly the fields have given way to developers building new homes. Given that the homes are on large blocks, once the gardens are established I'm sure the outlook will be a pleasant green again.

Comfortable bed, good shower

No microwave in the kitchenette, scratchy sheets (prefer good cotton), there were no screens on the windows and we were inunadated with flying insects, also the lack of curtains made it very bright in the mornings so no sleep in. The accommodation is a 1 room studio - not an apartment/villa with seperate bedroom.

Lovely cottage - loved the floors, bed was really comfortable, breakfast foods included on arrival, close enough to town to walk, hosts very welcoming.

A little more bench space in the kitchen would have been good - perhaps a small freestanding table/cupboard on the wall near fridge. Towels didn’t smell fresh like they sat in washer too long - in hindsight I should have let Gabby know and got them replaced. Dinner options in village limited if you don’t want to self cater.

Love this place. It is definitely a WOW experience.
