Hotel La Maison de la Prade

Good location, nice pool, although small, good for cooling down, not so good for swimming

Sadly, although advertised as air conditioned and when we arrived the room we had was hot and the staff member relayed a message from owner who we were told was out shopping and would contact us on return (they didn’t)that their air con was centrally monitored at 21 degrees and couldn’t be lowered. Was told although it said 21 they would bring a thermometer to show it was 18(again, they didn’t). We were also told that this was the temperature norm in France but we had just left 2 other hotels earlier in the week which allowed us to manually adjust out air con temperature in our room to suit and was well below 21,. Due to my partners health conditions we only book hotels that have air conditioning but was disappointed especially considering the price we was price we paid for one night,

Breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly and welcoming, nice pool, picturesque hotel.

Our room did not have a refrigerator, which I think it would benefit from to allow you to keep your drinks cool ready for your return. The flooring in the bedroom is also kind of weird. It's like a hardwearing rattan kind of material that doesn't feel very nice on bare feet.

Cordial welcome and checkout. Helpful with bicycle storage. Good restaurant within 5 minute walk. Very quiet. Superb breakfast delivered efficiently. Hotel decor tasteful. Great night’s sleep.

No bath.

The staff were lovely, and accomodated an early check-in for us. We were very grateful. The breakfast was also delicious and filling. We were particularly grateful to them for storing our bikes.

Because this is in the Basque Country, it rains a lot. Some ventilation in the bathroom would be welcome, so that clothes could dry more quickly.

The communication before arrival, parking available, comfortable room with tasteful decor, the friendly staff all made this a great stay.

It was all perfect

The place is really cool with a great swimming pool. Comfortable bed and nice shower. Close by the beach and town, with some restaurants.

The size of TV and no coffee in the room.

Beautiful located and an extraordinary breakfast! Great swimming pool!
