Seascape Holidays at The Queenslander

The location was great, and we appreciated having parking included. The unit had pretty much everything you could need for a holiday stay, in relation to kitchen stuff. It was also great having a washing machine.

There was no reception on site, just a sign up saying that the reception was no longer manned - we didn't know this in advance. We arrived in line with our estimated arrival time, but no one had communicated with us about how to get into our room. On arrival we rang an 'emergency' number and were provided with instructions on how to access the unit. We went into the office in town the next day (we were told about an office by another guest, since we had booked with booking.com and not 'directly') and they advised that an email had been sent to me with arrival details, and that it hadn't bounced (therefore suggesting that I should have received it). But I have no record of receiving this email. While the unit was adequately set up with what you might expect to have in a holiday unit, the kitchen cabinets really needto be replaced. I tried to open two different drawers and the front of each drawer came off in my hands. I wouldn't call myself overly picky, but I think this was really poor.

Location was wonderful. Can walk everywhere.

Shower pressure was non-existent. Bed was a bit hard.

The complex was noisy at night with cars coming in, doors banging and people talking while walking to their unit. The noise seemed to echo around in the stair well area, while other guests were trying to sleep.

Corridors, foyer dark and uninviting.

Location was good and had a good balcony

While clean on the surface, the whole complex was tired and the apartment needed a deep clean. Compared to other 4 star accommodation this is really only 3 star.

Location was great, size was big, easy check in, it had everything you needed!

It was old, no elevator to the 3rd floor, a bit of a funny smell - maybe the guests before smoked, neighbors (building next door) were loud on weekends.
