"Decadent splurge on the Camino de Santiago"

Definitely a decadent little splurge on the Camino de Santiago. The location is off the normal stage endpoints, but since we were devouring one and half or two and a half stages at a time, Granon was suddenly one our radar as a place to overnight. It is a cutey town between Santo Domingo de la Calzada and Belorado. Had fun hanging out with the local seniors at the "bar" in town--not a pilgrim in sight other than us. The Casa Grande Hotel is a stunning tour de force of art and function. Rooms were very well equipped. Just a really pleasant surprise on the Camino.

The property is situated in a quite local area, the room is beautifully designed for pure relaxation and to top it off, the bed was so comfortable that waking up in the morning was a difficulty!
