"Superb!!"

Room: very neat and tidy, all clean. they also have tiny ref for your food. They clean your room, change linens and towels everyday or if used. I like where our room is located on the very top. you could see the sunrise and hear the church bells on sunday morning with birds chirping so nice. ( our room is the St. Sebastian 7: you have to climb a bit with stairs but for me it has no problem. ) The Bathroom is also very clean, they also provided tiny sets for shower, lotion, conditioner and shampoo, container for toothbrush. everything is provided. fresh towels for 2 and toilet papers. Door Lock: for others it maybe inconvenient but I like it ( for a shy person who avoid human contact), how the lock works and all. I think people just need to get used with modern locks or they could have gone to Hotels with 24/7 front desks. all in all I like it 😁 Facilities: I like the ambiance at the breaksfast place ( sad we didnt book for breakfast coz we usually leave so early ). They also have place where you could spend time relaxing or sunbathing at the rooftop and Jacuzzi (need to request 24H before use) . (accessible with cylindrical ladder) Staff: Timothy is so nice and accommodating. He really is prepare to help you and guide you about Malta.` Location: I totally like the location. There are food stores, pharmacy, bus stop near the hotel. Very convenient for travel. We also walk down to Lidl a lot because across it is the main Bus station, where you could ride the Bus wherever you wanted to go in one place and you would discover hidden gems in Qormi. I am just sad that we were not able to say goodbye physically because of our early flight back to Germany. I highly recommend it. Will book again when I get back to Malta soon ☺☺ -Daisy

"Boutique Hotel gem in the heart of Malta"

I stayed at this hotel for the last 2 nights of a 16-day holiday in Sicily and Malta. The historical ambience, the guest care and attention shown by Management and the quality of fittings and fixtures which contribute so much to a hotel stay were all excellent and greatly appreciated! I can unreservedly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to explore Malta and enjoy its diverse culture. And if you do not want to enjoy the culture you can sunbathe and enjoy a hot tub on the roof-top sundeck! Superlative accommodation - what a pleasure!

We had everything we needed, the manager was very friendly and helpful. Wish we would stay longer than just one night! The breakfast consisted of local pastries, no supermarket products :)

"Twin room no. 7. Good hotel but host verbally aggressive and otherwise unprofessional. Just don't."

Small hotel with a character, looks recently renovated although some furniture needs changing. Clean bed linen and towels. Room amenities. -asking for online Check-In with passport photos via 3-rd party service, which wasn't clear at the time of booking. Access instructions only provided after online Check-In. -the only smoking area is only accessible via spiral iron stairs. -no 24/7 reception, meaning I had to confront guests in the next room about noise at 1am. -noisy AC unit outside. The AC in the room was also somewhat noisy. The area is generally quiet at night and all sounds amplify. -next door guests could be heard talking, showering, watching TV. Outside walls are thick but not the inside ones. -there was a hissing sound coming from behind the TV where all the electricals are. Very audible, especially at night. -the smoke detector in the room had a light flashing every 6 seconds or so. So annoying at night! -duvet was new and clean but had a rustling sound to it every time you turn. Not a great sleep overall! -cleanliness good but there were some drips on the toilet base and orange mould in the shower. -the rattan chair had a hole, which snagged on my clothes. I have not raised any of these issues as host (Timothy) seemed overall weird and defensive, even if initially extremely nice. -I asked for no room cleaning over my 3-night stay. Just requested supply of coffee set and water. Timothy was unhappy to provide these, pointing out that my room was at a discounted price and I'm only provided these at day 1. My discount came from the Genius status, the host received a full amount that they asked for the room at the time of booking. I offered to pay for the coffee sachets, sugar, milk and water but this was declined and Timothy insisted that I take the supplies. It's like: take this but know you didn't pay. It should be clear that these items are not replenished daily.

-after this Timothy seemed keen to access my room. I asked about paid TV channels and he wanted to show me how the TV in my room works! He then ignored my Do Not Disturb card when I was out, claiming maintenance issue. And then sent me a message that the room must be cleaned the next day, as per their policy. No privacy. -I slipped in the shower (fell on the shower door, causing it to fall of the rail-this was later repaired but asked again to leave the room to be cleaned). I asked for a rubber mat but was told they are unsanitary and that the shower tray is non-slip, which was clearly a lie. It has a smooth, reflective surface (see pictures). No resolve. -DAMAGE DEPOSIT rules unclear. Timothy asked several times about my Check-Out time, saying it's needed for the room inspection, after which the deposit will be released. When I provided the time I was told the inspection won't happen prior to me leaving and I couldn't be present. Timothy tried hard to explain that it's the hotel's policy, that not all damage can be seen initially, and that housekeepers pick on some damage later. I was told: "If you don't like it then, well" which I found rude. At this point Timothy already lost my trust and I began suspecting foul play. Especially after reading other negative comments about the deposit. I asked "What guarantee do I have that no damage will be done after I leave?" This sent him into temper, with him SHOUTING at me and pointing his finger at me. He was out of control and kept interrupting me. I had to leave as I felt threatened. I honestly feared that he will ask me to leave the hotel immediately for what was a reasonable request to view the room. The message that followed claimed that I have actually accused him of damage. How, before Check-Out? CCTV was also mentioned. Yes, it will show that I had to back out as he was intimidating.

"Lovely small hotel"

Lovely breakfast with local produce. Timothy was very helpful and informative. Very quiet and handy for the airport or to travel to different parts of the island. Having a taxi arranged by Timothy in advance was really helpful when arriving later in the evening. Spotless room on 2nd floor. Very spacious and with private balcony.

Not a negative but if travelling in a group and arriving when there's no reception, room details and access code will be sent to each person rather than the one who booked.

Very hospitable manager who welcomed us in person even though we came quite late. Comfy interiors with an atmosphere of past. Elegant and clean. Recommended for romantic stays or friends’ excursions!
