B&B Izumi Nikko

We had a wonderful stay at Izumi’s B & B. It’s in a quiet neighbourhood with a babbling stream at the back door and a truly attentive host. The bus to the station or up to Lake Chuzenji is just a quick walk down the road. Izumi picked us up at the station and also took us to an izakaya for dinner (and the return trips). Breakfast was excellent. This is a lovely alternative to soulless city hotels.

A beautifully peaceful place to stay just a 20 minute walk from the temples of Nikko's World Heritage Centre. Izumi is a wonderful host and he serves a magnificent breakfast!

Host Izumi was very kind and helpful. The room is very nice, contains everything you need and is perfectly clean. Japanese breakfast was outstanding. Overall a great experience and one of the best stays that we had in Japan! Would definitely recommend!

Great location out of town, nice views of the forest, beautiful clean modern style Japanese room, excellent breakfast and a great host Izumi.

exceptional breakfast made by Izumi-san in addition to being super kind and friendly, surrounded by nature so a quiet and peaceful place (slept very well), overall size of the place, kotatsu!!

felt a little cold generally, but fine with the air conditioning and kotatsu (feet/leg warmer)

Izumi was an extremely gracious and helpful host, for whom nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts that he prepared were outstanding in every way. The location was quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful outlook.

Mr. Izumi was a very hospitable and kind host. You can really by all the attention, care and detail he put into to ensuring the guest rooms are comfortable, impeccably clean and well stocked with amenities for a relaxing stay. As well, the view from the guest room balcony was beautiful even in winter. His Japanese breakfasts were delicious and filling. We really appreciated him picking us from the train station when we arrived and drove us to and picked us from the sights and the centre of town since his B & B was bit further away from the main strip in Nikko. He really ensured the stay was enjoyable and relaxing with his hospitality. It was the perfect stay for everyone in our family to relax including my 8 year old son and husband who just completed the Tokyo marathon.
