Hotel Bhadgaon

The staff was friendly and very nice, we enjoyed the garden of the hotel with flowers and the pool area with the good service and the lovely restaurant. For the visit of Baktapur this is a perfect opportunity to see the historical place and to relax.

Review We arrived in Bhadgaon hotel after our 2 weeks trek in Himalayas, tired and eager to relax. It was the perfect place! Only a few steps away from noisy old town of Bhaktapur, the nice building made of red stones and wood surrounded by garden, flowers and swimming pool, offers a quiet nest. Welcome drink and wet towel, efficient, polite and friendly staff, we then discovered the big room: large double bed, stylish wooden furnitures, large bathroom, view on the mountains from the window. After an intense day walking in the old streets of Bhaktapur, very noisy, dusty but still beautiful, it was relaxing to have a bath in the swimming pool then chill out on the sofas in the garden, drinking a refreshing cocktail. And as we didn’t want to get out again in the evening, we had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant: what a good idea! So good that we went the following day as well. Menu is short but food is fresh, tasty and delicious. We tried momos, curries, seasonal salad, grilled pork chops, Jujudhau and brownie. Finally let’s talk about the breakfast buffet: large choice of hot and cold dishes, exactly what you need for a good start in the day!

The so called gym center is not really one: none of the few machines is working.

Warm welcome from staff as well as excellent service. We had a very nice room on top floor overlooking the city. Enjoyed the swimming pool after checking out the town.

All staffs are friendly and there to provide any little helps. Check-in and welcome ceremony were impressive. Swimming pool is good size and in a good location, plenty of sitting area in the garden and bar. Also, thanks for fruits basket and cookies. Transport arrangement was also excellent. Food in the restaurant was good and not expensive.

Excellent facilities and a lovely room

The restaurant was a little overpriced. But as it’s a hotel expect to pay hotel prices. Also, we asked for a quote for a driver there and back to the Shiva temple, they quoted us a laughably expensive price. Luckily, Pathao was on hand to offer a cheap price.
