Casa Regina Oaxaca

Friendly staff. This is a remote peaceful beautiful area. Meals and service were wonderful. It meets expectations for its location and a great getaway to experience Oaxaca outside the city.

It's a beautiful location, the view is spectacular, and the rooms themselves are quite lovely. I think they may struggle with staffing, but everything was clean and any issues were addressed quickly. The food quality/taste was very, very good when it did arrive. I think that once they get a bit more staffing, it will be great. Still had a nice stay.

With only one cook, meals took a very long time - breakfasts were served with a good 30 minutes between the first and last ones served to the 4 of us even though all were ordered at the same time. The remote was missing in our room, but we're not big TV people, so it wasn't a real issue. Our friends' bathroom toilet didn't work, but they were moved into another room immediately. The pricing seemed very high in comparison to the other places we stayed on our trip of similar quality.

Beautiful place - the layout of the property, the rooms themselves and the location. Nice pool (though a bit chilly!). The food was good too (though not everything on the menu available). Good location for getting a headstart on the Oaxaca hordes when visiting Hierve el Agua.

We were the only people staying there which felt a bit weird, especially given how remote the property is. The staff were pretty absent most of the time (and some seemed like they didn't really want to be there when they were present) - which wasn't really an issue and they appeared when we went to sit down in the restaurant but it made it all feel a bit abandoned at times. When we arrived the gates were closed and we couldn't figure out how to get in. We had to look around to find a member of staff from a nearby house to let us in. Also there were loads of dogs there - some very cute like the pug puppy (though we did have to move all of our belongings out of range as it tried to chew them) plus some much larger dogs too. Our kids don't love dogs so it would have been nice to be asked if we were ok with them roaming free (and begging from our table as we ate/strolling into our room). They also emptied out food wrappers from a bin one night and sprayed them all around the garden.

Vrij nieuw hotel. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Goed ontbijt, je mag van de kaart kiezen.
