"Excellent, comfortable and enjoyable"

The breakfast cereals in the room plus the fresh fruit, fridge and fresh milk is a nice touch. The food both breakfast and dinner was excellent. The pub garden is one of the best

Très jolie chambre spacieuse avec un mobilier de qualité. Propreté irréprochable. Thé, café, eau , fruits, céréales, lait frais disponibles dans la chambre. L'accueil est vraiment au top : toutes les personnes qui travaillent dans cet établissement sont souriantes et attentionnées . Le petit déjeuner ( full english breakfast modifiable à votre goût) est de grande qualité. Le repas proposé le soir est excellent et le prix très raisonnable , le tout dans un très joli cadre et une ambiance chaleureuse.

"Delightful stay in a historic building"

Friendly attentive staff and quiet location. The bedroom was in a separate building to the side of the pub. The room had a small refrigerator to keep our snacks cold. The provided breakfast was generous and included gluten-free options.

The bathroom was functional, but small, with a sloping ceiling.

Very welcoming and willing to accommodate our needs. Convenient location, and good value for money. Excellent evening meal.

Access to the substantial shower room was unusual with a sloping door, opening into the bedroom. However, very little to dislike. Very clean, and lovely hot water.

Nicest pub rooms we stayed in during our walk on the South Downs Way. Immaculate accommodation and a warm, friendly pub selling delicious food at an affordable price. A nice garden too.

"Lovely stay"

Location was rural and very pleasant. The menu was small but the food was excellent. Ruth and her staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The bedroom was pristine but basic although the bed was comfortable which is what matters. Nice to have a fridge in the room and the added cereal packets for those snacky moments.
