Fort Road Motel

The person at the check in counter was very kind. Seeing that I was having a hard time walking, after two days of being crammed in a car driving, he suggested a main floor room would be ideal. I had sent a note with that request from the Expedia app when I booked the room but did not get a reply. He found me a room on the main floor (room 3) and it was exceptionally clean. The mini split (AC) wasn't working. I assumed that they were trying to leave this room unoccupied since the AC was broken but gave it to me as I could not manage the stairs. It was not a big deal. Without it the room did feel very humid but the ceiling fan was good to bring the temperature down. I travelled with two dogs and they were very welcoming. They charged, I believe, $15 per dog as an additional fee which I was expecting and was fine with. There were other guests with animals and all seemed to be well behaved. The decor is dated but again, all very clean. The room could have used a coffee maker. Tim Hortons is luckily very close as is Subway, a liquor store, cannabis store and several gas stations. Overall the stay was absolutely worth it. I will stay again. Super easy to get on and off the highway.

Friendly welcome at check-in. Very clean and tidy room, large bathroom. Also reasonably priced, less than $90./night. Will definitely book in the future.

The only thing was the air conditioning didn't work. But was ok with the ceiling fan on. Loved that it was pet friendly.

Room has just been renovated and great although I recommend cutting back on the cleaning detergent or changing it because it left quite a powerful scent that we had to keep door open for a while to air it out.

The person at the front desk needs to get a personality! It’s a very ordinary facility so not much to say about that. When we opened the door to our room the first thing we noticed was a peculiar smell…..too much cleaning product? The room itself had been recently renovated & was clean. Beds & pillows were super comfortable. Overall, it was good value for the money.
